First Responder Appreciation Event to be Held at Lakewood Health System

 In recognition of area first responders and the critical role they play in keeping our patients and communities safe, Lakewood Health System is hosting an appreciation BBQ on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event will take place at Lakewood’s Main Campus in Staples (49725 Cty. 83) and will include food, comradery, and a free training opportunity. 

Lakewood’s EMS team will be offering free Stop the Bleed® trainings at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. for anyone interested. The training will also include some information on Narcan use in the field. CEUs are available and a prize drawing will take place at each training session.
