Stop the Bleed

Lakewood Health System’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) team is offering a

free Stop the Bleed® training to the public on Thursday, May 22nd from 6 to 7 p.m. The training will take place in the lower-level classrooms at Lakewood’s Main Campus in Staples (49725 Cty. 83). All are welcome and encouraged to attend this training which is part of a national campaign that empowers bystanders to control life-threatening bleeding before medical help arrives. During this hands-on training, attendees will be educated on basic bleeding control techniques, such as applying direct pressure, packing wounds, and using tourniquets, with the ultimate goal of saving lives.
